If you haven't already, look for governmental or private programs to help people in your area who have to give in-home care to a relative; they basically treat the person caring for their relative as a semi-professional care-giver, and pay them for taking care of their relative. I have a friend who did that for a few years when her mom was disabled and they couldn't afford paying someone. Such programs exist in the US, but may not exist everywhere.
